I use quality watercolor paint and archival ink on 100% cotton watercolor paper. You’ll find that most of my work is painted in a slightly loose style, which I often prefer over true realism. Someone once commented that my paintings evoke “the memory of a place” and I found that to be a fitting description.

Nebraska and Iowa based color pencil artist, Theresa Rhodus, has been honing her skills in colored pencil art since 2010. Originally a graphite artist she blended her love of realism and the need to color enhance these “almost” photo like” renderings.
